Let’s Talk Victoria Secret Fashion Show
10/22/2025
Surprise! You didn’t think we were gonna skip over it did you? Even with me being an ex-employee? Yeah right.
The 2025 Victoria Secret Fashion Show took place a week ago on October 15 in NYC. In case you didn’t get the chance to catch it live, you can watch it here.
I want to start off by saying that the improvement from the 2024 show was astronomical. We saw more of the classic VS aesthetics and the production value was much higher.
Let me take you through some of the highlights:
Starting off strong, the opening ceremony featuring Jasmine Tookes, NINE months pregnant, was insane. Not only did she look absolutely stunning, but it was such a beautiful and wholesome moment to begin the show.

The runway itself looked significantly better than last year (if you remember, models genuinely got their heels stuck in the runway) and other aspects of the production felt more elevated as well. With lighting and music choices, the vibe definitely gave more cool girl sexy.
When it came to the musical performances, overall I was very pleased with the choices. Madison Beer, to me, perfectly matches the vibe and aesthetic of VS, and I thought she was great as the first performer. TWICE, while the audio didn’t sound the best, they all looked great and they brought a fun energy to the show.

Karol G really stole the show for me, and not to mention, her and Madison’s walk on the runway, iconic. Ending off with Missy Elliot, an obvious icon, gave us so much energy, and while I don’t believe she and the dancers matched the VS vibe as well as the other musical guests, they gave one hell of a show.
For the actual models, the makeup and hair was stunning (still not as big of a blowout as I might’ve liked, but a large improvement from last year’s slick backs). The outfits gave exactly what they needed to for the main VS sections.
Of course, it is incredibly heartwarming to see some of the O.G. angels walk multiples times. I was specifically looking for Adriana Lima, Gisele Bündchen, Candice Swanepoel, and Alessandra Ambrosio. Even a week later, I am still in awe of their beauty and dedication to the show.

While all of the above is great, there is definitely still room for some improvement:
The PINK section was a hot mess. While I know that I am not the targeted PINK demographic, most of the looks didn’t make sense, or just plainly didn’t look good. No shade to the models who walking in the PINK section either, as I am obsessed with Queen Blackwell.

The wings. Some of the wings were fantastic, very O.G. Victoria Secret. Yet some of them, including Barbie Ferreira, were huge disappointments. They were either too small, made of awkward materials, or way too heavy. While Bella Hadid looked incredible for her two walks, it was very obvious in her second walk, that the wings were too heavy for her. Her blonde was show stopping though, so who really cares.

Lack of themes. If you used to watch the VS show back in the day, there was an element of whimsy and fantasy that we have lost since the show has returned. The show now blends together without real differentiators, besides when the show showcases its PINK collection.
Overall, love it or hate it, VS stepped up their game this year. Here are some of my favorite looks from the night:
